Privacy Policy
Last Updated: October 7, 2026
1. Introduction
Welcome to Nearlynx. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring that your data remains secure and under your control. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data when you use the Nearlynx ecosystem across Android, macOS, Windows, and Linux.
2. Core Privacy Principle: Local Processing
Nearlynx is designed around a privacy-first architecture. The core functionalities—including phone calls, SMS messaging, SMB native drive mounting, universal cursor flow, screen mirroring, remote mouse & keyboard control, clipboard sync, file transfers, and notification sync—operate strictly over your local network and hardware tunnels. We do not process, intercept, store, or transmit your device activity, media, calls, keystrokes, or clipboard data to any external servers.
3. Information We Collect
To provide you with our services, we only collect essential information:
- Account & Authentication Data: We collect your email address and basic profile information. Authentication is securely handled by our backend provider, Supabase.
- Device & Pairing Information: We store minimal metadata about your paired devices (such as device names, IDs, and operating systems) to enable seamless auto-connection and manage your active devices within our ecosystem.
- Payment Information: If you subscribe to Nearlynx Pro, your payment details are processed securely by our payment gateway partner, Razorpay. We do not store your full credit card numbers or sensitive payment data on our servers.
4. How We Use Your Information
We use the collected information solely for the following purposes:
- To create and manage your Nearlynx account securely.
- To facilitate secure pairing, discovery, and authentication between your personal devices.
- To process payments and manage subscriptions for Nearlynx Pro tiers.
- To send you important service updates, security alerts, and support notifications.
5. Data Security
We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data. All communication between your devices and our backend for authentication and signaling is encrypted using TLS. The actual peer-to-peer data transfer between your local devices is encrypted end-to-end to prevent local network snooping.
6. Data Retention and Deletion
We retain your account and device metadata as long as your account is active. You have the right to request the deletion of your account and associated data at any time. Upon deletion, your authentication records and device pairing metadata will be permanently removed from our active databases.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the personal data we hold about you. You can manage your account information directly from your Nearlynx dashboard or contact us for assistance.
